Yoshiko Frawley

Frawley, Yoshiko K., 81, of Smithfield, died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 20th, at home. She was the wife of the late Earl T. Frawley, Jr. They had been married for 58 years. Earl and Yoshiko met and fell in love while Earl was stationed with the U. S. Army in Japan. They married in Japan in 1951 and returned home in 1952 where their love story continued until Earl's passing in 2008.

Mrs. Frawley worked for Harvey & Otis Emblematic Jewelers for many years before retiring.

Born in Japan, she was the daughter of the late Hiroetsu and Kiku Komatsu. She is survived by her brothers, Yukio and Tadao Komatsu; her sister, Yasue Komatsu; and three nieces and three nephews, all in Japan. She was the sister of the late Fumiko Komatsu. She also leaves her friends and caregivers; Patricia Pothier of Johnston, Flora Whitecross of Warwick and Sachiko Osaki of Smithfield.

Her funeral service will be held Friday at 10AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence. Burial to follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours Thursday 6-8Pm.
