Turner, William N., 67, of Smithfield, died November 17, 2010 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia E. (Salois) Turner and the late Dolores A. (Sudol) Turner. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late William K. and Mary L. (Borden) Turner.
An accountant, he worked for Colonial Knife Co, Stackin Corporation, and Goldline Controls before retiring. He was a member of the 107th Signal Co. of the RI Army National Guard and served in Long Binh, Vietnam from 1968 to 1969. He was an avid photographer.
William leaves seven children, David Turner and his wife Holly, Lynn Derosier and her husband Norman, Gary Jenkins, Randy Jenkins, Jody Jenkins and his wife Rebecca, Lori Derosier and her husband Dwayne, Joseph Jagielo and his wife Christin, 15 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Susan Casey and her husband John, Nancy Turner, and Louise Boyd and her husband Michael. He was the brother of the late Kendall Turner.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Michael Church, Georgiaville. Military honors will follow. Burial will be private. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
