William Robinson

Robinson, William A. Sr., 82, died Friday February 10, 2017 at Hebert Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Josephine (Tanguay) Robinson and was the son of the late Arthur and Helen (Healey) Robinson.

Bill was a custodian for the Smithfield School Department and the Smithfield Police Department for many years before retiring. He served with the US Army in the 1950’s and was a member of the Balfour Cole Post #64, American Legion and the Elks Lodge #2359, Smithfield.

He leaves a daughter Patricia A. Brown (Kenneth), and two sons William A. Robinson, Jr. (Sue) and Raymond G. Robinson (Dina), 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was father of the late Joseph E. Robinson.

His funeral will be held Thursday at 8:30 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, in Greenville. Burial, with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours are Wednesday 4-7 PM.
