William Mcdermott

McDermott, William F., 71, a retired CPA, died Friday January 14, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late William F. and Irene (Sharp) McDermott. He was a graduate of LaSalle Academy and the University of Rhode Island, and was a veteran of the US Navy.

He is survived by three sisters, Mary Ann Hanlon of Portsmouth, Irene Bergquist and Florence Spachman, both of Bluffton, SC, 10 nieces and nephews, and 17 great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his dear friend Richard Cote.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday at 11 AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2215 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial will be held at a later date.
