Walter Vickers

Vickers, Walter F., 78, of Lincoln, died Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Miriam Hospital. He was the husband of Marion (Smith) Vickers. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Allen and Helen (Morgan) Vickers.

Walter served in the United States Navy. He was an avid Boston Bruins fan and also enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Cindy Marois, Walter “Bubba” Vickers, Fred Vickers, Mary Vickers, Marion Vickers and Dori Kozaczka, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, siblings, Allen Vickers. Jr., Henry, Bobby, Norman Vickers, Joyce Fortune, Irene St. Laurent and Paula Pare, and his two Shih Tzu’s, Chucky and Rocky.

His funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 3rd, 2018 at 11AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence. Burial with military honors will follow in Union Cemetery, North Smithfield. Calling hours Tuesday 4-7PM.
