DeLuca, Walter M., 92, a lifelong North Providence resident, died September 29, 2010 at Heritage Hills Nursing Centre. Born in Pittsfield, MA, he was a son of the late Charles and Clorinda (Romano) DeLuca.
Walter was a machinist for the former Leesona Corp. of Warwick for 40 years, retiring in 1980. He was an Army veteran of WWII, serving in North Africa and Italy. A qualified sharpshooter, he received the Combat Infantry Badge and four battle stars.
He leaves his beloved sisters, Evelyn Orsi and Mary Del Sesto, one nephew and three nieces. He was the brother of the late Anthony DeLuca.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 10 am in St. Lawrence Church, 624 Woonasquatucket Ave., North Providence. Burial will be private.
