Walter Davis, Jr.

Davis, Walter E., Jr., 67, died March 14, 2011 at his son's home. Born in Providence, he was a son of Shirley E. (Naismith) Davis of North Providence and the late Walter E. Davis, Sr. He was the former husband of Phyllis Davis.

Walter was a Marshall for the State of RI for 24 years until retiring. He was a former president of the Sunset Terrace Association.

Besides his former wife he leaves a son, Walter E. Davis, III of Johnston, and a daughter, Lori Davis-Contillo of Smithfield, two grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was the brother of Stephen Davis, Lynne Hargis, Gail Gallo, and Mary Coulter.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 10AM to 1PM followed by a service at 1PM in the ROBBINS FUNERAL HOME, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
