Auerbach, Vivian, 87, entered into eternal peace March 9, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Robert C. Auerbach. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Mildred Procaccianti.
She leaves three children, William D. Turner and his wife, Susan of Warwick, NY, Terrance N. Turner of Smithfield, and Roberta E. Martino and her husband, Joseph of Richmond. She was the mother of the late Dennis W. Turner. She was the beloved nana of Sean, Shea, Christopher, Jeremy, Jessica, and Justin Turner and Kristen and Bryan LaBrie, great-grandmother of four, and sister of Esther Nero and her husband, Norman of Johnston. She was the sister of the late Ed Procaccianti.
Vivian served as welfare director for the Town of Smithfield for 28 years before retiring. She was a graduate of Johnson and Wales University.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Michael Church. Burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to RI Food Bank, 200 Niantic Ave., Providence, RI 02907.
