Vincenza Sibilia

Sibilia, Vincenza A. (Pietropinto), 79, died July 16, 2012 at home. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Sibilia. Born in Caposele, Avellino, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Concetta (DeVito) Pietropinto.

Vincenza worked as a cook for Celanto Brothers in New Jersey, as well as for CCRI. She also was an assembler at Mine Safety Appliances. Vincenza loved cooking and gardening and her dogs, Junior and Arnold.

She leaves two children, who were her life, Frank Sibilia and Angela Sibilia, both of Smithfield, three sisters, Assunta Bardiscino of Italy, Pia Calandrelli of Smithfield, Josephine Stoppiello of New Jersey, and two brothers, Salvatore and Frank Pietropinto, both of New Jersey. She was the sister of the late Alfonsira and Josephine Pietropinto.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 8:30-9:30 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Michael Church, Georgiaville. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
