Victor Russo

Victor Russo, 78, passed away on January 24, 2023 in Greenwich, CT.  He was born on 9/9/44, the son of Giovanni and Maria Pierro Russo.  Vic was the youngest brother of John, James and Anthony, all who predeceased him.  He was the brother of Natalie Sperduti, and the proud uncle and grand-uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and attended Rhode Island College prior to serving as a quartermaster for four years in the U.S. Coast Guard.

Vic was co-founder and then sole-owner of Our Place Tuxedo & Uniform in North Providence for over 50 years.  He was a past president of the Greystone Social Club.  He was a former member of the North Providence Town Democratic Committee.  He was on the Board of the Central Credit Union and served as past president for many years.  He also served as president and member of the North Providence Lions.

Visiting hours on Friday, January 27 from 5-7 pm in Elliott Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.  His funeral will be held on Saturday, January 28 at 8:45 am from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Raymond’s Church, 1240 N. Main Street, Providence.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery.
