Valerie Carbone

Carbone, Valerie M. (Micheli), 58, of Dunbar Ave, died Thursday, March 24, 2011, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She and her husband David Carbone had been together since the age of 18, had been married for 38 years, and was the love of his life. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Fausto and Amalia (Quaglieri) Micheli.

Earlier in her life she was the owner of R. E. D. Soldering. Recently she was employed by the Smithfield Manor Apartments until her illness.

Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Rachel Johnson of Lincoln, Erica Giorgio of North Providence and David Carbone, Jr. of North Providence, and four grandchildren who adored their Grammy. She also leaves her sisters, Mary-Ann Morse of Barrington, Jeanne Theriault of Johnston, and Ruby Pinto of Glocester.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 9 AM from the ROBBINS FUNERAL HOME, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours will be Sunday 5-8 PM.
