Bucci, Tommy (Amedee), 65, of Johnston, passed on January 1, 2019 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. He was the husband of Donna (Tuxbury) Bucci. Born in Providence, he was a son of Anna R. (Imondi) Bucci of Johnston and the late Amedeo T. Bucci.
Tommy was an accomplished carpenter for most of his life. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by five siblings, Cheryl Venancio of Glocester, David Bucci and his wife Susan of Scituate, Gail Ranone and her husband Nicholas of Scituate, Peter Bucci of Johnston, Paul Bucci of Johnston, sister-in-law, Rhonda Bucci of Santa Barbara, CA, stepchildren, Dawn Barner of Burrillville, Jean Boleman of Florida, and Ronny Sanford of Providence, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Buddy. He was the brother of the late Michael Bucci.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 9-11 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston. Burial with military honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Assn., PO Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241-7005 or the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
