Thomas Mackaravitz

Mackaravitz, Thomas F., 75, died Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Roger Williams Medical Center. He was the husband of Josephine (Ravo) Mackaravitz for 54 years. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he was a son of the late John and Harriet (Eyck) Mackaravitz.

Thomas worked at G.E. Baseworks for 23 years before retirement. He served in the Navy and Army National Guard.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Dyann (Mackaravitz) Rotondo, Kimberly Mackaravitz, Thomas F. Mackaravitz, Jr., Jeffrey Mackaravitz, and Shayne Mackaravitz, eight grandchildren, Frankie and Alfred Rotondo and Cindy and Victoria Mackaravitz, Shayne Jr., Jared, Darren, and Lo Donna Mackaravitz, two great grandchildren, Sophia and Gianna Rotondo, and a sister, Helen Poehler. He was pre-deceased by seven brothers and one sister.

His funeral will be held Monday at 10AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
