Thomas Bush

Bush, Thomas M., 75, a lifelong resident of Greenville, passed away on April 28, 2020 at Stillwater Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing.  Born in Oak Park, IL, he was a son of the late Dr. Mitchell and Winifred (Coughlan) Bush.

Tom was a 1962 graduate of Lasalle Academy.  He then attended the University of Rhode Island and Providence College and served in the Rhode Island Air National Guard.

Tom generously employed many family members at ProMed of Smithfield, a company he owned before retiring.  He was a jack of all trades and was always there to help with any building project.  He was a big NASCAR fan, and he loved classical music.  He also loved his dogs, his birds, trips to NYC and most of all Chips Ahoy cookies, usually eating a bag per day.

He is survived by his siblings, Ronald Bush of Johnston, Richard Bush of Florida, Patricia Venditelli of Greenville, Keith Bush of Lincoln, Christopher Bush of Greenville, Kenneth Bush of Cumberland, and Joyce Walker of Georgia. He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews.

Due to current limitations, Tom’s burial in Acotes Hill Cemetery, Glocester, was private.
