Thelma Zawislak

Zawislak, Thelma V. (Jette) 87, formerly of North Providence, died Monday December 22, 2014 in Florida, where she had resided with her niece and caretaker, MaryJeanne Carlson. She was the wife of the late Anthony F. Zawislak. Born in Johnston, RI, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Dora (Foster) Jette.

Thelma was employed by Lees Manufacturing, formerly of North Providence, before retiring in 1993. She was a member of the St. Anne's Sodality at the former St. Lawrence Church and the Salvatore Mancini Center. She also enjoyed activities at a senior center in Florida and playing cards.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Zawislak of North Providence and Joan Zawislak of Providence, a daughter-in-law, Wanda Zawislak of North Providence, and several nieces and nephews.. She was the mother of the late Robert Zawislak and sister of the late Rita E. Varin.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Thomas Church, Fruit Hill Ave., Providence. Burial in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours Sunday 4-7 pm.
