Stephen Benoit

Stephen Benoit, 66, of Providence, passed away on July 29, 2022 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. Stephen was a notable member of his community; he built warm relationships with everyone he met and always appreciated a recognizable face. Stephen was active in his faith, highly devoted to the Lord, and attended the SPRED program at St. Patrick Church in Providence.

Stephen prided himself on kindness, he found joy in helping others and was a man of his word. Stephen received residential and day services from The Fogarty Center for over 30 years and left an indelible mark on the hearts of several employees.

Stephen was pre-deceased by his mother Carmel (Robetaille) Benoit and brother Roland Benoit and leaves behind his brothers Kenneth Benoit and Earl Benoit.  Stephen is also leaving behind his longtime housemates Fred Abbott, Arthur Camp, and Ryan DiCarlo along with many friends at The Fogarty Center.

Stephen was most relaxed sipping an iced coffee while sitting near his garden. Always the life of the party, his exuberance will be greatly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 1 pm in St. Patrick Church, 244 Smith St., Providence.
