Sherry Hanoian

Hanoian, Sherry B. (Bozigian), 92, died peacefully on June 21, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Peter G. Hanoian. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Hachig and Haigouhi (Topalian) Bozigian.

Sherry was a devout member of Sts. Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Orthodox Church in Providence, where she worked tirelessly as a member of the Ladies Aid Society and the Hokejash Committee. She was a very kind and caring person who was always willing to help others. Sherry will always be remembered for her great sense of humor and keen wit which she displayed right up to the end of her life.

Family was most important to Sherry, and her love was strong and unending; she truly will be missed. She is survived by two children: Jane Cimini and her husband Donald of Providence and George Hanoian and his wife Susan of North Providence, three grandchildren, Peter, Mark, and Emily Hanoian, a brother, George Bozigian of North Providence, a sister, Rose Hachigian of Newport Beach, CA, and many nieces and nephews, of whom she was very fond. She was the sister of the late Lucy Goodman, Susan Boghossian, and June Matrumalo.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:45 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a service at 10 am in Sts. Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Orthodox Church, 70 Jefferson St., Providence. Graveside burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sts. Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Orthodox Church would be appreciated.
