Sarah Spencer

Spencer, Sarah M. (Macdonald), 92, died April 29, 2009 at Cherry Hill Manor. She was the wife of the late John W. Spencer. Born in Scotland, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah (Tonner) Macdonald.

Sarah worked for the Providence School Department for twenty years before retiring.

She leaves five grandchildren, Deborah Jaques, David Nuttall Jr., John Spencer III, Eric Spencer, and Tracy Faherty. She was the mother of the late John Spencer Jr. and Doris Viens and sister of the late Thomas Macdonald and Anne Mills.

Her funeral and visitation will be held Friday 8:30-9:30 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park.
