Ruth Werner

Werner, Ruth E. (Streeter), 87, died Monday September 17, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Peter R. Werner. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late William and Henrietta (Bray) Streeter.

Ruth was a secretary bookkeeper at H. Carr & Son Inc. and Jolicueur and the Rasmini Marble and Tile Co. until she retired. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary for 65 years, where she was past President, and an active member with the Captain Elwood J. Euart Post.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Abbott and Patricia Salisbury, 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Karen Bidon and sister of the late Linwood Streeter

Visitation for Ruth will be held Friday from 9-10 AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence. Burial will be private.
