Roxie M. Sousa

Roxie M. Sousa (Counts), 97, of South Kingstown, formerly of Smithfield, died on January 24, 2024 at home.   She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Sousa.  Born in Denver, CO, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lena (McDonald) Counts.

She is survived by three children, Theresa D’Orsi (Isidore) of South Kingstown, Mary Anzevino of Warwick, and Michael Sousa (Mark) of Tennessee, three grandchildren, Gina D’Orsi, Donna Brodeur, and Sarah Anzevino, and three great-grandchildren, Hannah Brodeur, Jacob Brodeur, and Shae Silva.  She was the mother of the late Joseph D. Sousa.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024 from 8:30-9:30 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield.  Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Smile Train at smiletrain.org
