Rose Paterson

Paterson, Rose (Menard), 94, of Smithfield, died March 2, 2016 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Ronald "Scotty" Paterson. A lifetime resident of Smithfield, she was the daughter of the late Solomon and Annie (Ouellette) Menard.

Rose had worked for the former Mine Safety Appliances, Worcester Textile, and Esmond Mill before retiring.

She is survived by two children, Joan Riquier and her husband Maurice of Woonsocket, John S. Paterson and his wife Christine A. of San Diego, CA, two grandsons, William Ronald Riquier and his wife Claire and Ronald "Scott" Riquier and his wife Robin, and a great-grandson, Steven R. Riquier. She was the sister of the late Leo J. Turner.

Her funeral service will be held Monday at 11 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours Sunday 4-7 pm.
