Rosario Sabetta

Sabetta, Rosario T., 88, of North Providence, died April 16, 2016 at the Rhode Island Veterans Home. Born in Smithfield, he was a son of the late Francesco and Angelina (Caranci) Sabetta.

Rosario was a plasterer by trade and also worked for the Town of North Providence for ten years. A Navy veteran of WWII, he belonged to the American Legion Post #1 and the VFW Post # 10011, Lymansville. He also belonged to the New Deal Club and Veterans Recreation Club (Boulders).

He is survived by his children, Ronald, Bette, and Richard Sabetta, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Francis and Thomas Sabetta, Domenica and Martha Paquin, and Howard Capice.

His funeral service will be held Wednesday at 9 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial with military honors will follow in Highland Memorial Park.
