Romilda Gesnaldo

Gesnaldo, Romilda E. (Lautieri) “Minnie”, 87, passed away peacefully Friday April 25, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph “Joe G.” Gesnaldo for 56 years. A daughter of the late Antonio and Anna Lautieri, sister of the late Antonio Lautieri, Jr. Martha Napolitano and Anna Laffe.

She leaves her two children, Joseph Gesnaldo, Jr. of Madison, NH, and Judy Serenity Hoskins of Cranston, RI, her two grandchildren, James Hoskins and his wife Christine, David Hoskins and his wife Jennifer, and six great grandchildren, Amanda, Nicolas, Jason, Mia, Leila and Lochlan.

She was an active member of the Salvatore Mancini Center in North Providence. A lot of Minnie’s enjoyment came from spending time with her second family whom she loved so much, at the Providence Performing Arts Center, where she was a volunteer usher for 27 years.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Augustine Church, Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visiting hours will be Monday from 4-7 PM.
