Robert Perry

Perry, Robert D., 74, of Old County Rd., died February 1, 2012 at Roger Williams Medical Center. He was the husband of Margaret M. (Parenteau) Perry. They had recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Born in East Providence, Robert was a son of the late Dudley and Lillian (Phelps) Perry.

Robert worked for the US Postal Service, Turnkey Station for 40 years before retiring. He was an avid New England Patriots and Detroit Tigers fan.

Besides his wife, he leaves two children, Bruce R. Perry of Smithfield and Cheryl L. Durrell and her husband Everett of North Providence, a grandson, Jonathan Danno of North Providence, a brother, Dudley Perry of East Providence, several nieces and nephews, and his dog, Ginger. He was brother of the late Hal and Henry Perry, Audrey Sweet, and Martha Libowicz.

His funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours Wednesday 6-8 pm. www.robbinsfuneralhome.com
