Robert Forsythe

Forsythe, Robert A., Jr., 82, of North Providence, died February 21, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Barbara A. (Leddy) Forsythe. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Robert and Mildred (Wheeler) Forsythe.

Robert was a letter carrier out of the Esmond Post Office for 30 years before retiring. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a life member of the Greystone Social Club.

He leaves five children, Robert W. Forsythe of Pawtucket, William P. Forsythe, Sr. of Coventry, Patricia A. Forsythe, Debra L. Forsythe, and Cheryl L. Russo, all of North Providence, and seven grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Joanne Podgorski.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Raymond Church, 1240 North Main St, Providence. Burial, with military honors, will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours are Tuesday 5-8 PM.
