FAGAN, ROBERT M. (BOB, B0BBY), 52, of Hebdeen Street, Johnston passed away peacefully on July 30, 2010 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center surrounded by his family and close friends.
He was raised in Smithfield and lived in Johnston with his beloved wife Wendy (Atkinson) and family for 32 years. Bob was the loving father of Heather L. (Fagan) Morris and her husband Peter F. Morris Jr., as well as Robert (Bobby) M. Fagan and his wife Danielle (Cardi) Fagan. Poppy will be greatly missed by his three granddaughters Mia Lynn Fagan, Samantha Rae Fagan and Ava Grace Morris. He was the son of the late Thomas and Jean (Garner) Fagan, brother to Thomas Fagan, Nancy Mc Caughey, and William Fagan. Bob was brother-in-law to Cathy Atkinson and Steven Hickey, Christopher Atkinson, Joyce Fagan and the late Alan Atkinson Jr. He was uncle to Alanna Atkinson and Devon Atkinson and son-in-law to Alan and Jo Ann Atkinson. He will be greatly missed by his good friends Lynn and Gary Moore. Bob also leaves many other relatives and friends.
Bob was proud to work for the Providence Gas Company, now National Grid for 33 years. He rose through the company to become a Construction Supervisor in Cumberland, where he will be missed by his many friends and co-workers.
Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman, he especially enjoyed ice fishing. His ice fishing buddies will miss having him out there with them every winter. He was a fan of all the New England sports teams, especially the Patriots and Red Sox. He also enjoyed watching and attending Nascar races.
He was a member of Bonnet Shores Beach Club where he will be missed by his many friends, mostly when the grilling starts. Bob enjoyed many relaxing days in the sun, surrounded by his family and friends, although once his three granddaughters came along, the relaxing stopped and the playing started. He would not have had it any other way!
His funeral service will be held Monday at 10 am in the Ocean State Baptist Church, 600 Douglas Pike, Smithfield. Burial will be private. Calling hours Sunday 5-8 pm in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.
