Rita Shaw

Shaw, Rita M. (McDonald), 91, died Friday December 16, 2011 at Harris Health Care Center in Central Falls. She was the wife of the late Albert W. Shaw. Born in Greystone, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Pearl (Janes) McDonald.

Rita was a resident in Greystone for 33 years before moving to Johnston. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Signet Chapter.

She is survived by her children, James R. Shaw of Smithfield, Nancy Headen of Johnston, four grandchildren, Robert Atkinson, Lindsay King, Tracy Shaw and Michael Shaw, and eight great grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Joseph Pavone and sister of the late Ray McDonald.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 10 AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours Monday 4-8 PM.
