Rita Rotondo

Rotondo, Rita A. (Mimande), 87, of Johnston, died on May 28, 2021 at home.  She was the wife of the late Richard Rotondo.  Born in Johnston, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Lancore) Mimande.

Rita is survived by her daughter, Deborah Fleming and her husband Robert, two sons, Michael Austin and his wife Margaret and Matthew Austin, 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.  She was the mother of the late Martin Austin and sister of the late Alma Boudreau, Caroline Conetta, and Eileen Norton.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston.  Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park.  Calling hours Tuesday 4-7 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Our Lady of Grace Memorial Fund.
