Rita Rathier

Rathier, Rita E. (Doyle), 92, of North Providence, died February 16, 2016 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the wife of the late Alfred V. Rathier. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Ludger and Louise (Boudreau) Doyle. Rita had worked in the jewelry industry before retiring and enjoyed word searches.

She is survived by three sons, Ronald A. Rathier and Roger A. Rathier, both of North Providence, and Rev. Russell J. Rathier, (USN, Ret.) of Washington, VT, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 8:45 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in the Cathedral of SS Peter and Paul, 30 Fenner St., Providence. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours Thursday 4-8 pm.
