Rita Palmieri

Palmieri, Rita G. (Hebert), 89, formerly of Smithfield and North Providence, died May 27, 2009 at Elmhurst Extended Care Facility. She was the wife of the late Lucius M. Palmieri. Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Alexina (Mateau) Hebert.

Rita was an inspector at Cranston Print Works for 13 years before retiring in 1985. She also worked for the former Greenville Finishing Company for 30 years.

She leaves a son, Richard Palmieri and his wife Sue of Groton, CT, a daughter, Lorraine Boisse of Smithfield, four grandchildren, Julie Allen, Justin Palmieri, Luke and Sarah Boisse, five great-grandchildren, a sister, Gertrude Pelletier, and two brothers, Raymond and Leon Hebert. She was sister of the late Yvonne Rondeau and Joseph Hebert.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Lawrence Church. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours Friday 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Elmhurst Extended Care Facility, 50 Maude St., Providence, RI 02908.
