Richard Gabaree

Gabaree, Richard J., 71, died Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the beloved husband of Sandra (Comella) Gabaree. Born in Worcester, MA, he was the son of the late Frederick and Mildred (Kane) Gabaree.

Richard worked for FM Global as a Principle Application Developer / Financial Analyst for 38 years. He was a Marine Corps Combat veteran serving in Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW Post of Rhode Island.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Kristen Arias, Anthony Mekuto and his wife Terez, Kendra Gabaree, Ryan Gabaree, and three grandchildren, Isabella Arias, Thomas and Matthew Mekuto.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 10AM in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours Friday 5-8PM.
