Ferrucci, Richard C. Sr., 84, of Johnston, died October 5, 2016 at his home. He was the husband of Cecile M. (Demers) Ferrucci for 59 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Charles and Aurora (Grandchamp) Ferrucci.
Richard was a master electrician for Rhode Island College before retiring. An avid sportsman, was an NRA instructor and competitive pistol shooter. He belonged to the Cranston Fish and Game Club and the Providence Revolver Club. Richard served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Charles R. Ferrucci and his wife Maria, Denise M. Johnson and her husband Bill, and Richard C. Ferrucci Jr., two grandchildren, Billy Johnson Jr. and Brian Johnson and his wife Alyssa, and two great-grandchildren, Quinn and Kate Johnson, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Rosalind Acciardo, Shirley Parrillo, Elsie (Genest) Santamaria, and Illine Montella.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston. Burial with military honors will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours Monday 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Robert's Church and Charitable Ministries to benefit their food closet.
