Richard Dionne

Dionne, Richard, 61, of Smithfield, died April 19, 2010 of Parkinson's Disease complications. Born in Providence, he was the son of Rita (Conti) Dionne and the late Raymond Leo Dionne.

Richard grew up in East Providence, served eight years in the U.S. Navy, and retired in 1988 as a Sales Manager at Boston Digital. He organized a Parkinson's support group in Uxbridge, MA.

Richard is survived by his beloved fiancee, Patricia Medeiros; sons, Christopher, Jason and his wife TeriLyn, and Matthew; grandchildren, Savannah, Hunter, and Jaylynn; siblings, Raymond Dionne Jr., Sandra Trahan, Kathleen Zanfagna, Karen Dionne, Nancy Boyce, and Kimberly Dionne.

Calling hours Friday, April 23rd from 11 am to 1 pm in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence followed by a funeral service with military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the M.J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation, NYC. www.robbinsfuneralhome.com
