Richard Costa

Costa, Richard W., 84, of Sack St, died December 26, 2012, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Anna L. (Bucci) Costa for over 64 years. Born in Smithfield, he was a son of the late Charles and Elva (Rich) Breton.

Richard was a shipper for the former Table Talk Pies of Warwick for 27 years until its closing. He then worked as a custodian for the North Providence School Department for ten years before retiring. Having served in the US Army in Korea, he also was a member of the North Providence VFW. Nothing made him happier than his daughter and grandchildren, and he loved to take trips to the mountains of New Hampshire. He was also an avid golfer.

Besides his wife, he leaves his daughter Cathy Anne Parisi and her husband John C. of Coventry, grandchildren Meagan DeFedele and her companion Darryl Anthony, Matthew DeFedele and his wife Susan, step-grandchildren Antonia Parisi and John N. Parisi and his wife Tanya, four great grandsons, Luke, Cody, Max, and Cameron. He is also survived by his brother Robert Costa and his wife Anna and many nieces and nephews, sisters in law and brothers in law. He was brother of the late Doris Williams, Norman Costa, and Raymond Whitlock.
