Richard Allen

Allen, Richard W., 74, died November 11, 2009 at home. He was the husband of the late LuWana M. (Thompson) Allen. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Richard S. and Bertha (Sanita) Allen. He had worked for A.T. Cross before retiring.

He leaves two daughters, Susan Allen of Johnston and Beth Mullaney and her husband, Matthew, of Coventry, a granddaughter, McKenna Mullaney, and a sister, Joyce DiStefano of North Carolina.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 10 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Calling hours Friday 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
