Reynolds J. Lillibridge, 86, died on December 4, 2024 at home. He was the beloved husband of Deborah A. (Roddy) Lillibridge. Mr. & Mrs. Lillibridge had been married for 58 years.

Born in Providence, a son of the late George and Hope (Quirk) Lillibridge, he had lived in Smithfield for most of his life, beginning with his fostering by the late Rudy and Bella Alarie off Farnum Pike.

Reynolds was a graduate of LaSalle Academy where he was the outstanding athlete his senior year, and the University of Rhode Island. After graduation from URI he was a Physical Education teacher originally in Bellingham MA, before returning to his roots at the Smithfield Junior High School where he would be a fixture for the next four decades.

Reynolds was an exceptional athlete, coach and sports fan, most notably as the Smithfield High School hockey coach and Junior High School baseball coach for over thirty years where his teams secured multiple championships. He also served countless years as an officer with the Smithfield Little League and youth hockey programs.

Reynolds was an avid sports fan and encyclopedia of sports trivia. He was a member of Mary Mother of Mankind church and was a man of deep faith. His family was the most important thing in his life, his first priority, and always looked out for their well-being. He was the rock of the Lillibridge family.
