Raymond Cadieux

d. April 7, 2016

Cadieux, Raymond Ernest, 66, a lifelong resident of Centredale, passed away on Thursday, April 7th, from complications of pneumonia. He was born in September 16, 1949, in Providence, the son of Anna M. (Jutras) Cadieux and the late Emile J. Cadieux, Sr. Besides his mother, he is survived by four brothers, Emile J. Cadieux, Jr., Robert Cadieux, both of Centredale, Michael Cadieux of Chepachet, and Joseph Cadieux of San Marcos, California, and one sister, Maryann DiDonato, of North Providence. He was a most beloved brother-in-law and treasured uncle to two generations of nieces and nephews, and leaves many cousins to mourn his loss.

Raymond had a remarkable ability to recall birthdates, and was considered the unofficial family historian. He possessed an enviable capacity to find contentment in the simplest of pleasures. He was unfailingly kind, humble, honest and generous. Children in the family were drawn to him for his quiet voice, his gentle demeanor and shy smile. A devout Catholic, he prayed the rosary daily and was a faithful parishioner of Mary, Mother of Mankind Church in North Providence, and of the former St. Lawrence Church in Centredale.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Raymond will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 12th, at 10:00 AM at
Mary,Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth Street, North Providence. Burial will be private. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. A fitting tribute in Raymond's memory would be to pray a rosary and to share in a smile and a snack with a child. Such was his legacy, and he will be cherished in our hearts always.
