Raymond Christy Carrara peacefully passed at home in North Providence on the morning of January 13th. He left this earth surrounded by love.
Nicknamed Chip from birth, he was a generous, hard working and loyal son, husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Chip had a great sense of humor, loved the outdoors and all animals, especially dogs, cows and horses. He enjoyed the ocean, spending many summer days at the beach. He also enjoyed skiing with his daughter and nephew.
Ray was an expert pro painter and wallpaper hanger, perfection was his trademark. He also worked with developmentally disabled adults and the elderly. It was not his job to entertain them, but he made certain they enjoyed a laugh, smile or song.
Born in R.I. he was the son of the late Mona and Raymond Carrara.
Ray is survived by his wife of 48 years, Eleanor, daughter Alicia Carrara Wheeler, her husband Michael, grandson Matthew Wheeler, sister Christine Maselli and her husband Richard, nephew Christopher Maselli and his wife Gia, niece Danielle Maselli and his loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Burial will be private.
