Peter Merlino

Merlino, Peter A., 81, died Saturday October 20, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Margaret Rose (Joyce) Merlino. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Edward and Teresa ( Rocco) Merlino.

Mr. Merlino was self-employed in the flooring industry as an installer for over 60 years. He was an avid golfer and a 50 year member of the Smithfield Sportsmen Club .

Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Edward M. Merlino, Teresa F. Poole and Joseph R. Merlino, and seven grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Aldo and Romeo Merlino.

His funeral will be held Thursday, October 25th at 9 AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours Wednesday 4-7 PM.
