Peter Baffoni, Jr.

Baffoni, Peter D. Jr. 81, of Greenville, died Saturday, May 21, 2011 in the Miriam Hospital. He was the husband of the late Liberata (Elliano) Baffoni and the partner of Ann (Votta) Brown. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Peter and Louise (DelMastro) Baffoni.

Peter was the co-owner of the former Roger Williams Dairy of Johnston for over 50 years. He later worked for a variety of dairies, including Garelick Farms, before retiring. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

Besides his partner Ann, he leaves a son, Peter D. Baffoni, III and his wife Maria of Smithfield, a daughter Elizabeth Baffoni-Mestres and her husband Timothy of Warwick, 4 grandchildren, and a sister Anna Durvin of Smithfield. He was brother of the late Raymond and Roger Baffoni.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:30 AM from the ROBBINS FUNERAL HOME, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in St. Philip Church, Greenville. Entombment, with military honors, will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours Tuesday 4-8 PM.
