Mann, Paul E., 80, died Wednesday April 11, 2012 at the Heritage Hills Nursing Centre, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Dorothy (St. Pierre) Mann. Born in Athens, OH, he was a son of the late Earl L. and Florence E. (Speelman) Mann.
Paul worked as a machine operator at BIF for many years, and was a custodian for the Town of North Providence. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Bouffard Council, and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed his pets, especially walking his dog.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two children, Paula Cunetta and J. Burton Mann, both of North Providence, four grandchildren, a sister, Barbara York, and a brother, John Mann. He was the brother of the late Margaret Metcalf, Elizabeth Lamb, and James and Earl Mann.
His funeral will be held Monday at 8AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9AM in St. Anthony Church. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visitation Sunday 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heritage Hills Activity Fund, 80 Douglas Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917, or the Providence Animal Rescue League, 34 Elbow St, Providence, RI 02903.
