Paul A. Bouchard 90, of North Providence passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 26th. He was the beloved husband of, Joan (Godek) Bouchard for 65 years. Born in North Providence, the son of the late Omer and Margerie (Hogan) Bouchard. Brother to the late Arthur Bouchard, Janette Bouchard and his twin sister Pauline Zambarano. He lived in North Providence for all 90 years of his life.
Paul had a long career working for IUEC Local 39 in the elevator industry where he worked for 37 years. He was also a U.S Army veteran serving during the Korean War.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons, David Bouchard and his wife Lynn of Myrtle Beach SC, Paul Bouchard Jr and his wife Shirley of Smithfield and Steven Bouchard and his wife Joanne of Johnston, and his eight grandchildren, Michelle, Daniel, Elaina, Jessica, Scott, Sondra, Jenna & Adam. Paul was the ultimate family man who enjoyed traveling with his wife. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, March 31st at 8:30 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in Mary Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., North Providence. Burial with military honors will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Calling hours are Wednesday, March 30 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mary Mother of Mankind Church.
