Patrick E. Lyons

Patrick E. Lyons (Pat) passed away unexpectedly at home on October 2, 2024 in Pawtucket, RI. 

Patrick was born on August 25, 1957 in Providence, RI. He is preceded in death by his father Edward J. Lyons and mother Kathleen (Connolly) Lyons. He is survived by his wife, Annie Vah-Lyons; sisters Maureen (Lyons) Murphy and Geraldine Lyons; niece, Kaitlyn Murphy; his step-daughter Martha Lawrence with whom he lived, and several step-children and step-grandchildren. 

Pat graduated from North Providence High School in 1975 and went on to hold maintenance jobs at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital and most recently Walmart until he was forced to retire in 2019 due to illness. He was also a volunteer fireman for a few years out of the Centredale Fire Station in the 70’s.

In his time at home, Pat enjoyed doing word and jigsaw puzzles, working in the yard, watching old time TV shows, and taking care of his two rescue cats, Miss Kitty and Jo-Jo who he recently adopted.

A celebration of Patrick’s life will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2024. Visiting hours will be from 10am-11am at the Elliott M. Robbins Funeral Home at 2251 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence with a short prayer service at 11 am. 

Burial will take place at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Cranston.
