Patricia A. Hamilton, 81, a resident of North Providence, RI passed away at Heritage Hills Nursing Home with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. Pat was born in May, 1941 to Thomas and Helen (Sweeney) Keough. She graduated from Cranston East High School.
Pat was a beautiful woman with the largest heart. She was patient, kind, caring, and a friend to so many. One of her greatest passions was cooking, famous for her Italian meatballs, as well as her endless delicious recipes for cookies and deserts. Pat’s cooking always brought her family together; you could always count on her for any occasion whether it be birthdays, holidays, or just a chance to share Sunday dinner and great company. Pat also loved to travel; she and her husband, Bob spent most of their retired years traveling the world. Some of her favorite trips were to Costa Del Sol, Spain, Croatia, Ireland, Greece, and Portugal. Her last trip which was her most-favorite was on the Royal Clipper, 5-mast sail ship to the Amalfi Coast of Italy.
She was the loving wife to Robert Hamilton who she cherished deeply and avidly for 62 wonderful years.
Pat’s greatest love was her family.
She was the loving mother of 5 children: Robert Hamilton and his wife Phyllis; Thomas Hamilton and his wife Diana; Michael Hamilton and his wife Sandra; Jim Hamilton and his wife Christine; and Stephen Hamilton and his partner Jennifer Shippee. She was the proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren: Michael Hamilton and fiancé Daphne Robinson, Courtney Hamilton and partner Cyle Brodeur, Kayleigh Hamilton and partner Elias Ellis, Matthew Hamilton and partner Molly Brown, Joseph Hamilton and his wife Kelsey, Melanie Hamilton, Rachel Hamilton, James Hamilton and partner Celine Siekiera, Julia Schiavulli, and partner Jon Pingitore, Ally, Billy, and Michael Polion. Beloved sister-in-law to Mary Ann Beck. She was great-grandmother to Emmett Ellis.
We are most grateful for the wonderful care she received from the staff at Heritage Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the last five and a half years; we are especially grateful for the loving care she received from Brenda Cunningham.
