Pamela “Pam” (Cabral) Degnan, 63, of Progress Ave., North Providence, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017. She was the loving wife of John “Jack” Degnan. In addition to her husband of 39 years, she will be dearly missed by her sons, Benjamin (Erin) and Shane (Krystal), two stepdaughters, Kelly (Anthony), and Elisa (Chuck), and two sisters, Linda and Donna. Pam was dearest “Meemie” to her grandsons Jack, CJ, Max, Anthony, and Marc. She will also be forever cherished by her many nephews, nieces, extended family and dear friends.
Pam was born in Pawtucket to her loving parents, the late Raymond and Audrey Cabral. She graduated from Saint Xavier’s High School in Providence. Pam enjoyed working for Head Start for many years before becoming a teacher’s aide in the North Providence School Dept., where she was beloved by her students and co-workers for 17 years.
Pam’s newly retired time was filled with yoga, avid reading, shows at the Gamm Theatre, trips to Maine, long walks with Sox, lunching with her lady friends, and treasuring time with her family. She will be forever remembered for her loving, peaceful nature, compassion for others, and overwhelming, inspiring goodness. She will forever be with us.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, April 5th at 8:45AM from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence, followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 9:45AM in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth Street, No. Providence. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, April 4th from 4-7PM. Remembrances may be made to the Gamm Theatre, 172 Exchange St. Pawtucket, RI 02860.
