Vessella, Orsola (Carbone), 81, of Providence, died April 7, 2015. She was the wife of Antonio D. Vessella. Born in Rocca Romana, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Eleonora (Montanaro) Carbone.
Besides her husband, Orsola is survived by five sons and their wives, Angelo (Maria) of Chepachet, Pino (Lina) of Lincoln, Carmine (Janet) of Lincoln, Peter (Angelica) of Smithfield, and Giovanni of Chepachet, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren (and one on the way), five brothers, Giuseppe, Alfonso, Pietro, Antonio, and Luigi Carbone, and a sister, Filomena Perrotta. She was sister of the late Michele, Giovanni, and Agostino Carbone, Maria Deganutti, and Letizia D'Andreti.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 8:45 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Holy Cross Church, Hartford Ave., Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
