Cambio, Nicholas, V. 67, of Intervale Ave., died Wednesday July 20, 2011 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. Born in Providence, he is the son of Dorothy M. (Medeiros) Cambio of North Providence, and the late Thomas B. Cambio.
He worked as a tractor trailer driver for D & L Transportation and was co-owner of Rhode Island International CDL Tractor Trailer School. Mr. Cambio was a former Johnston Police Officer and had worked for the town of North Providence. He was an avid hunter and NY Yankees fan and loved country western music.
Besides his mother, he is survived by two children, Nicholas T. Cambio of Johnston, and Dana Breggia of Cranston, two sisters, Marie Jordan and Kathleen Parker both of North Providence, and three grandchildren, Gianni, Marisa and Christian.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9AM from the ROBBINS FUNERAL HOME, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave. North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Calling hours Sunday 5-8 PM.
