Nancy Van Wormer

Nancy A. Van Wormer (Morin), 78, of Providence, died on June 10, 2023 in her home with her family by her side.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Hope (Balfour) Morin.

Nancy enjoyed playing bingo, going to Foxwoods, participating at the Johnston Senior Center, and was an avid crocheter, making blankets for her whole family.  Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Michael DeSimone and his wife, Melissa, Patricia Warner, and Tina Van Wormer, her grandchildren, Mike, Samantha, Sean, Sandon, Gabriella, Alyssa, Mike Jr., and Nicholas, and three great-grandchildren, Madison, Melody, and Azula.  She was the grandmother of the late Victoria Hope, sister of the late James and Charles Morin, and longtime companion of the late Eugene Burnat.

Nancy had a heart of gold and touched all the lives that she encountered.  She will be truly missed by all.

Her funeral services will be private.
