Nancy Stanley

Nancy Stanley (Cornell) passed away on February 19, 2023 in Providence, RI. Nancy was born on September 28, 1942 in Johnston, RI and graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. As a young woman she began working to put her first husband, the father of her children, through medical school. She was selflessly dedicated to her family and went on to raise her three children on her own, putting herself through nursing school and working in the real estate profession as well. Truly a life long learner, Nancy was an avid reader and took on new projects and challenges with ease. In more recent years she became passionate and highly skilled in many areas of yoga. She remained actively involved in her children's lives to the end. She was free-spirited and adventurous, traveling to the UK and Australia and traveling and living in multiple states across America, while also being an active and loving grandmother. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Heather Brown and her sons Dr. Kirk Brown and his wife Dr. Sally DeZwaan and Casey Brown and his wife Beth Douthett-Brown. She was the loving companion of Donald Brothers. He along with her children and grandchildren will miss her love and unique spirit greatly. Services and burial will be private.
