Mildred O'Connor

O'Connor, Mildred A., 87, of Cumberland, formerly of Smithfield, died July 17, 2012 at home. She was the wife of Walter F. O'Connor for 64 years. Born in Goshen, New Brunswick, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Annie (O'Connor) Malone.

Besides her husband, Mildred leaves two daughters, Maureen O'Connor-Zanello and her husband Robert of Walpole, MA, Monica Collins and her husband William of Cumberland, a son, Kevin O'Connor and his wife Jennifer of Westerly, six grandchildren, Michaela, Jared, and Gregory Zanello, Shannon and Brendan Collins, and Samantha O'Connor, four sisters, Josephine, Marie, Irene and Elsie, all in Canada, and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Brian, Dennis and Mary O'Connor and sister of the late Warren, Kathleen, Leo, Raymond and James.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 10 am from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Eugene Church, Putnam Pike, Chepachet. Burial in St. Ann Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday (TODAY) 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals on Wheels of RI, 70 Bath St., Providence, RI 02908.
